SKETCHES FROM THE UNDERGROUND
This monochromatic love letter to New York City takes viewers on a mesmerizing journey through the city's underbelly.
'Sketches from the Underground' is a city symphony — a sub-genre in which the city is the main character of the story. From the neat juxtaposition of raw visuals, music and poetry written by spoken-word artists from the Caribbean, Poland or New York emerges a lyrical portrait of the American metropolis.
The documentary won the Golden Trellick Award for Best Artistic/Experimental Film at the 20th Portobello Film Festival in London, and had its US premiere at the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
